Hiking Katholikon Gorge

The Katholiko Gorge or ‘The Saint’s Groove’ as the locals call it, is located on the northern side of Akrotiri, near Chania. The first stop is the
Monastery of the Holy Trinity, built in the 17th century by Venetians monks and of great historical importance to Chania. Afterwards, you visit
the Gouverneto Monastery which was built in 1537 by monks from an older Catholic Monastery that preexisted there. A unique hiking route
starts from there that leads you to an impressive view and a hidden point towards the deep blue sea.

Hiking Sirikari - Polirinia

Starting from the Sirikari village, you head to the downhill route of a narrow trail that reaches the gorge which you cross through the rich
vegetation, the beautiful paths and the Cretan natural landscape until you reach the village of Polirinia. Walk around the village and discover
a great historical part of the island, admire the panoramic view and observe the ruins of the ancient city.

Sea Kayak Tour – Akrotiri Peninsula, Chania

Your day begins in Chania and the Akrotiri penisnula followed by a brief introduction to kayaking and equipment. While paddling in the clear waters you will have the chance to get to know the environment and the area’s wild nature along with your guide. During the 6-hour trip you will make short stops in the small bays of the Akrotiri to admire the beauty and explore this part of Crete through the sea. The tour ends with a light lunch for everyone.

Hiking Imbros Gorge

Imbros Gorge is the second most popular hiking gorge in Crete. It’s 8km long and the trail is easier compared to the Samaria gorge which makes it ideal for hiking with children. It’s easily accessible with some imposing narrow spots, historical significance, beautiful, lush vegetation and it’s open all year round attracting many visitors, especially in spring. Arriving at Komitades village you will be transferred to Sfakia and you will reach the beautiful Marmara beach for lunch by boat. Upon your return to Sfakia, you will head back to Chania where you will spend the night.
